Since 2022 I have tested software for teams in the US, from a desk seven time zones away. Small teams, fast releases, and almost never a dedicated tester.

At one of them I built the regression suite from nothing: hundreds of Playwright scenarios, wired into the pipeline so they ran on every deploy. The suite was the easy part. Getting a team to trust it, and to read what it said before they shipped, took far longer.

Every team I worked with cared about quality. They cared about it in the last two hours of a sprint, somewhere between the thing they were shipping and the thing they had already promised, and the bugs that mattered were found by customers.

A test suite nobody reads is just a slower way to find out on Monday.

Small teams feel this hardest. At 3 to 20 engineers you are big enough to ship things that break, and too small to justify a full-time QA hire, so testing lands on whoever has the least on their plate that week.

That's the gap GetQA exists to close. I started it in 2025 to give small teams the QA function I had been for others: engineers who work your hours, learn your product, and own your regression suite. I run the function, review the work, and stay accountable for the outcome. You are not managing a contractor; you are handing off a problem.
